Anzac

The view at our gate at 6am this morning, neighbours out too some in dressing gowns, young and old. We took the kitchen radio down and listened to the virtual dawn service on Radio NZ, the bagpipes and bugle very moving.

The wreath of oergano stems for the mediteranean, manuka for nz, roses for what the red colour symbolises. And protea a non native to indicate the distance they traveled.

The small animals are there for when children walk and are looking for teddies etc in windows., letterboxes and other places. Left them for the photo as the koala a link with Australia and Eeyore a reminder of the hard work and sacrifice of the donkeys and horses.

  1. Well done you, my wreath was a very amateur effort, no wire and just saw the ribbon at last moment . Did you listen to the service? It was very powerful over the radio in the dark.
