Windowsill of Joy – 13 April

Memories of Sweden. Visits from family and friends (Pete and Sheena, Lorna, Colin, Teresa, Judith, Alison, Dee, Graham, Linda, Helen and Simon. And the new friends we made there. Many of the family and friends came to visit after our daughter was born in the middle of the Swedish winter.

We enjoyed sledging, playing in the snow, trying to ice skate, visits to Skansen, the Vasa museum, and of course the many visits to Ikea.

In the cold winter months we drank Glogg to keep us warm – a Swedish mulled wine to which is added cardamon, cinnamon, cloves, orange peel, raisins and flaked almonds.
